I love Interactive Fiction not necessarily for what it often is, but for what it can sometimes be.

Instead of railroaded stories, I like branching narratives that can have as great of a width as they have length. I value choices that matter, experiences where you have as much control of your character as possible, instead of being continuously subjected to puppeteering.

I feel that, as long as you have the time, the imagination and the will to do it, you can use IF to do what would be nearly impossible in any other form of interactive medium, mostly due to budget restraints.

But this isn’t just about avoiding predictability, linearity or inconsequential choices. With IF you can also give representation to people which are often neglected or alienated by the gaming industry. You can give them the tools to roleplay the types of characters they want to, empowering without pandering, being inclusive without neglecting anyone else.

So there’s that. I want to keep doing what I have been doing for the past two years. My next game is going to enter the publishing queue very soon and I’m looking for opportunities to continue working with Interactive Fiction.

Thank you for your consideration.
