Entries can be over the word count specified and we will simply read the words or chapters until the limit is reached. This allows you to submit an existing serialized story on the Tales platform even for a short-story contest.

Entries are currently restricted to English only. One entry per author is permitted. Any submissions that do not align with our content guidelines will not be read or considered.

All submissions will be reviewed by Tales. Top submissions will be reviewed by our guest judges. To best advertise your story across our platform, we ask that every submission include a cover image with dimensions of 1200 x 1630.
