Jessica Swift writes all the time, both in her day job as a Marketing Manager and her moonlight job as a writer of historical fiction. The daughter of a feminist historian, she has always been drawn to objects that connect us to the past, be it the Silurian fossils she finds with her children or Victorian household manuals she collects. Although some of her stories are classed as historical romance, they explore themes that have fascinated writers from the Ancient Greeks to modern-day; love, betrayal, jealousy, madness and forgiveness. Her debut on Tales, A Loveless Marriage, was inspired by an idle random thought “What would happen if two perfect strangers marriages because of a bequest in a will?”Jessica lives in England with her husband, two children, one fluffy cat and four quails.

Sara Desai has been a lawyer, radio DJ, marathon runner, historian, bouncer and librarian. She lives on Vancouver Island with her husband, kids and an assortment of forest creatures who think they are pets. Sara writes sexy romantic comedy and contemporary romance with a multicultural twist. When not laughing at her own jokes, Sara can be found eating nachos.

Her previous jobs have included firing ceramics, teaching living history lessons in one-room school house in full, 1904-approved school marm attire, and working as a librarian for several years—not in that order
