Shae Rossi is a Game Writer and Game Designer based in Central Massachusetts with roots in Connecticut and Northampton, MA. She has an undergraduate degree in English Lit with a concentration in Folklore from Smith College, was a certified massage therapist and Reiki Master, and is currently getting her Masters Degree in Tolkien Studies through Signum University.

An accomplished digital media storyteller, Shae currently works as a Content Designer II on The Lord of the Rings Online for Standing Stone Games. Other game credits include “Blood Sigil” for Fable Labs, Wildermyth, and the sci-fi MMORPG, Tau Station. Pre-pandemic Shae was a co-organizer for Women in Games Boston, and the VP of Digital Curation for BostonFIG.

Hi there y’all, I’m Emil, an imaginist from a small town on the west coast of Sweden. I dropped out of my last year of high school in order to pursue a career in writing, in spite of the fact that I had basically no literary experience to speak of.

Oy vey.

Determined to succeed, I finished my first screenplay in about six months, and a year after that I was entering into my very first option agreement. Post-agreement, I have finished numerous scripts, had several ideas accepted by Tales, and been a crucial part of an indie game that was later accepted by an incubator. As with countless other up-and-coming artists, Covid threw a spoke in the wheels, and I’ve been spending most of my twenty-twenty-two trying to get my cart back on the road.

Victoria Masina is a produced screenwriter and author of multiple interactive fiction narratives on different platforms. With a formal education in psychology and art, years of acting and writing experiences, and avid gaming, branched storytelling is where all her passions combine. Six years ago, her first stint at choice-based books brought Victoria to Episode Interactive, where her acclaimed historical adventure Eclipsis became a big hit. After directing several popular interactive stories like the franchised “Pitch Perfect,” Victoria is excited to continue her IF journey with Tales. In her own words: “I’ve made my choice, pun intended.”

After discovering a love for writing stories at a young age, Samantha went on to receive her B.A. in English from Mansfield University and her M.F.A. in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University. Her published fiction includes the cosmic horror novella The Book at Dernier, zombie comedy novella The Zombie Mishap, and pulp fiction story “The Domino Lady Takes the Case.”

She soon found a niche writing scripts for indie games, visual novels, and interactive fiction. In addition to her stories for Tales, her work includes the fantasy action RPG Eternal Radiance, the rom-com visual novel Ascendant Hearts, and the paranormal otome The Last Act.

When she isn’t writing, she can often be found playing video games herself, especially JRPGs, visual novels, and survival horror.

I’ve told stories in a wide range of mediums over the years. I’ve been a newspaper editor, a comedy writer, a filmmaker, a comic book creator and editor, and for the past couple years, the lead writer of the RPG Epic Tavern, made by Hyperkinetic Studios (a start-up by the core creative team who made those crazy good Treyarch Spider-Man games).

All of my writing for ET is loaded with string commands and I spend my weekdays weaving together crazy complex branching storylines that play out a myriad of ways over the course of dozens or even hundreds of turns.

I want to bring my love of reading into the new generation. There are so many kids who love to use their imagination but do not like to read books whether they are hard copies or electronic. Although born in the coldest part of Australia, Chris has lived much of his life in searing deserts, including the Tanami, the Great Victoria, and the Kalahari in southern Africa. His passion for fantasy and science fiction began early, when a year 1 teacher took his class to see Star Wars at a cinema in a nearby town, and it has not diminished a single iota since that day.

His early career took him to the remotest parts of Australia, and eventually overseas to Botswana and Tanzania. After returning home, he began writing in 2010 and hasn’t looked back. Ric Brady is a British writer who grew up in Yorkshire, on the misty moors of Brontë country. He studied English at university in Manchester and moved to France in 2013. He’s been a professional writer since 2014 and has written theatre scripts, novels, and interactive fiction. Ric wrote ‘Lady Justice’ for Tales from 2019 to 2021 and has started writing episodes of ‘Clairvoyant’ and ‘The Blood Witches of London’, which will be released in 2022.

Nicky was born in New York City and raised in Mexico City, Mexico, before attending college at the San Francisco Art Institute. They began their career in video games in 2012 and have been in the industry ever since, including work for 2k Marin, Telltale Games, and Pixelberry Studios. They currently live in North Carolina with their three dogs, two cats, and one parrot.

I’m primarily a comic book writer, with a crime miniseries entitled Red Winter coming out in July 2019 through Scout Comics. I have also written Transdimensional, a sci-fi horror miniseries and Stan Lee’s Lucky Man: The Bracelet Chronicles, based on the hit UK TV series, through TPub Comics.
I also write prose, articles and recently was hired to write for my first YouTube channel. I would love to be given the chance to get into the interaction fiction realm.

I’m a native of Germany and went through quite some career changes in my life. After school, I became a bank clerk, studied biology, and finished with a Master of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. When I couldn’t find a job in this field without moving away from my family, I became a teacher.

But, in the end, I followed my guts, my passion, and said screw it all, and turned my hobby into my job.
My mind is full of stories, but I always lack time to write them down properly. Now I’m starting to change that.

Since the end of 2019, I got various writer and translation jobs offered, more than I could take up. I am grateful to anyone who took a gamble with me. Someone who has no formal education but works hard to bring forth great stories.

I got my start as a playwright at the legendary Idiom Theater in the Pacific Northwest before moving on to complete my MFA in screenwriting at Columbia University in 2010.

Since then I’ve developed projects with studios across the world including Kerner, Dreamworks, Psyop, Reelfx, Chernin, Zentropa, TNT and Studio Canal.

Sheri Mello is a Caribbeanite. She hails from Trinidad and Tobago and is the author of six books. She writes romance with action, betrayal, and a little bloodshed. What is anything without drama?

Allegra grew up in a small village in northern Tuscany as the daughter of two artists. She was raised on the works of J.R.R Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Phillip Pullman, Frank Herbert, and many others, all read aloud to her while she drew and played make-believe. She began to write at the age of eight and hasn’t stopped since.

After many moves and dozens of countries visited, she now lives in a cozy cottage in Western PA. She is accompanied in her current adventures by husband Job, co-conspirator and long-time writing partner Tobias, and a small army of furry and scaly pets. When not writing or daydreaming, Allegra rules her kitchen with an iron first and feeds everyone who walks through her door. She also gardens, dabbles in various art forms, and spins stories for her tabletop gaming group.

As a disabled woman and staunch LGBTQ ally, Allegra hopes to write engaging, diverse, and representative Fantasy and Science Fiction, where people who do not often see themselves center stage get the chance to shine.
